Our Commitment to Privacy. 

This notice describes our Privacy Policy. Our privacy policy explains how Dynasty Labs Inc. (“Dynasty”) collects, uses, and protects the Personal Information obtained through the use of our website www.getdynasty.com (“Site”), social media accounts and the goods and services available through the Site (collectively, “Services”). Through our platform, our mission is to make estate planning dead simple, digital, and as close to free as possible. We believe that every adult in the United States needs some form of an estate plan. By visiting the Site or using any of our Services, you agree that your Personal Information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of our Site or Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Service, including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes. The Dynasty Terms of Use are incorporated by reference into this Policy.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, we have internal policies and practices designed to keep your Personal Information secure and to ensure that information about you is only used consistent with this Privacy Policy.  We have privacy and security teams that are committed to ensuring that your Personal Information is safe and handled properly.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features in an effort to prevent loss, theft and unauthorized access, use and disclosure.

What Information is Collected. 

In this section of the Privacy Policy, we explain the types of personal information we may collect.  The specific information that we may collect about you depends on the type of interaction and the types of products considered or purchased. We collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, as well as automatically through your use of our Site or Services. Should your personal data be incorrect, you may request to have it rectified. You may also revoke your consent to use your personal data in the future, in whole or in part, or request deletion of your personal data.

  1. Information We Collect Directly From You.
    1. For users, if you wish to create a living trust, you will be required to register an account (“Account”). We collect the following information through the Account registration process and/or through the living trust creation process, all of which is defined as “Personal Information”:
  • Identifiers: Examples of the types of identifiers that Dynasty may collect include real names, nicknames, postal addresses, online identifiers, Internet Protocol addresses, email addresses, and account numbers.
  • Sensitive Information: Examples of the types of sensitive information that Dynasty may collect includes social security, driver’s license, state identification card, and passport numbers, and usernames and passwords for accounts connected to our Site.
  • Biometric information: With your consent, Dynasty may work with our notary services to use technology to verify your identity by comparing a digital image of your face to the picture on the government identification you provide.
  • Characteristics protected under some laws: Examples of the types of characteristics that Dynasty may collect include age, national origin, citizenship, marital status, medical information, sex, and veteran or military status.  Dynasty does not use this type of information to analyze your health, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • Commercial information: Examples of the types of commercial information that Dynasty may collect includes records of business and other property owned, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered from Dynasty or our partners, and other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
  • Signature Affixation: If purchasing our notary and trust storage services, you will be required to submit an electronic/drawn signature. The signature will only be stored temporarily until it is affixed on your documents and will then be discarded.
  • Other types of information: Examples of other types of information include physical characteristics or descriptions of you, telephone number, insurance policy number, financial information including bank account, credit card, and debit card numbers, and health insurance information.  It also includes additional information provided to Dynasty directly by you, such as when you complete a questionnaire, answer a survey, or receive notary services. This category includes information identified as personal information in California Civil Code Section 1798.80(e) that is not otherwise categorized above.
  1. Information We Collect Automatically. We may automatically collect information about your use of our Services through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies, including technologies designed for mobile applications and browser extensions. We combine this information with other information we collect about you. Please see the section “Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms” below for more information. Examples of the types of internet activity information that Dynasty may collect includes browsing history, search history, information about the device used to access our website or applications, and information regarding your interaction with websites, applications, or advertisements.  We may also collect information from visitors to our Site, such as browser settings, operating systems, referring/exit pages, and clickstream data.  When we send you an email, Dynasty may also collect information, including about how you interact with that email.
  1. Information we obtain from other sources.
  • Other third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity on our Site, and they may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of the Services, in accordance with their privacy policies. We may receive the information described in this Privacy Policy from  third party services, such as analytics providers and advertising partners.

How and When the Information is Used. 

Dynasty will primarily use your Personal Information to provide our Services, and to complete core business functions such as authentication‚ internal business processes‚ marketing‚ loss and fraud prevention‚ and legal functions. Currently, we use your Personal Information, on the Site for the following purposes:

  1. To work with our Service Providers.
  2. To provide our Services, including producing and delivering documents purchased by users, administering the Dynasty website, and displaying content based on user preferences
  3. To verify a consumer user’s identity or a business user’s identity and project information.
  4. Investigate and prevent fraud and other illegal activities.
  5. Provide, maintain, and improve Dynasty and our overall business.
  6. To communicate with you about your Account, use of our Services, to respond to your inquiries, and for other customer service purposes.
  7. To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you, to offer location customization, and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using the Site or our Services.
  8. For marketing and promotional purposes. For example, we may use your email address, to send you news and newsletters, special offers, and promotions, or to otherwise contact you about services or information we think may interest you. We also may use the information that we learn about you to assist us in advertising our Services on third party websites.
  9. To better understand how users access and use our Site and Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve our Site and respond to user desires and preferences, and for other research and analytical purposes.
  10. To protect our own rights and interests, such as to resolve any disputes, enforce our Terms of Use or to respond to legal process.
  11. In addition to the uses outlined above, by using Dynasty, you agree to allow us to anonymously use the information from you and your experiences to improve the Dynasty experience. This research may be published on our social media accounts. However, all of your responses will be kept anonymous, and we assure you that no Personal Information will be published.

How We Share Your Information. 

We may share your information, including Personal Information, as follows:

  1. Service Providers. We will not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to others. However, we do provide some of our services through contractual arrangements made with affiliates, financial institutions, service providers, partners and other third parties (“Service Providers”). Examples of our Service Providers are _____________ as our shipping provider to deliver physical products you have purchased; or we may use Stripe for purposes of processing payments or providing identity verification services.  In doing so, Stripe may collect and process Personal Information for its uses, including improving its services and for fraud detection and prevention.

We and our Service Providers may need to use some Personal Information in order to perform tasks on our Site or to deliver services to you.

We may also share information in the following circumstances:

  1. Business Transfers.  If Dynasty undertakes or is involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, then we may sell, transfer, or share some or all of our assets, including information related to users in connection with the transaction or in contemplation of the transaction (such as conducting due diligence).  If such an event occurs, your information may be treated like any other Dynasty asset and sold, transferred, or shared with third parties, or used in ways not contemplated or permitted under this Privacy Policy.  In this case, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our site of any change in ownership or uses of your Personal Information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your Personal Information
  2. In Response to Legal Process. We also may disclose the information we collect from you in order to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena.
  3. Professionals. We may share Personal Information with notaries whose services can be accessed through our product offerings.
  4. Related Parties. In limited circumstances, we may provide information about you to someone you know.  For instance, we may provide information connected to your Account with your authorized contacts or designated trustees.
  5. To Protect Us and Others. We also may disclose the information we collect from you where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
  6. Aggregate and De-Identified Information. We may share aggregate or de-identified information about users with third parties for marketing, advertising, research or similar purposes.

We may also disclose information about you that is not personally identifiable. For example, we may provide merchants, business partners, or other third parties with reports that contain aggregated and statistical data about our users.

How We Protect Your Information. Information Security.

To protect your Personal Information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry standard encryption of data in transit to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your financial or any other Personal Information through the Site, the information is encrypted using industry standard protections in our database. No payment information is ever stored in our database, as it is solely processed through Stripe and is only temporarily stored during the processing of payment. All other Personal Information is stored internally for as long as you have an active Account, or for living trust paid storage, until you choose to no longer pay for our storage services.

Although we have implemented commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, please be aware that despite our best efforts, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security. You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, and computer by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords or for any activity on your Account via unauthorized password activity.

CAN-SPAM Act and Opting Out of Emails. 

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
  • We may also send you additional information related to your Account, your purchases and our Services.
  • Market to our mailing list, if you provide us with such consent.

To be in accordance with CAN-SPAM we agree to the following:

  • NOT use false, or misleading subjects or email addresses
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters
  • Monitor third party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email

We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such communications by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days for us to process opt-out requests. If you opt-out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you emails about your Account or any other transactional or service-oriented request.

Payment.

If you choose to register an Account or make a purchase, payments are exclusively processed through Stripe. If you provide us with your financial or any other Personal Information, the information is encrypted using industry standard protections. All payment information is stored solely through your selected payment processor. Please visit Stripe’s privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy for information regarding their own security protections and use of your Personal Information. Payment information is never stored on our Site or in our internal database.


In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. Once you leave our Services or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use.

Our Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms.

Dynasty may use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Site. Cookies are typically defined in one of two categories, session and persistent. Session cookies do not stay on your device after you close your browser and persistent cookies do remain on your device until deleted or they expire. We may combine this information with other Personal Information we collect from you. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Site, while others are used to enable a faster login and payment process or to allow us to track your activities on our Site. Our Service Providers and Site host may also place cookies on our Site in order to properly provide their services.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COOKIES AND HOW MIGHT WE USE THEM?

  1. Essential: These are cookies which are essential for the running of our Site. Without these cookies, parts of our Site would not function. These cookies do not track where you have been on the internet and do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing purposes.

Examples of how we may use essential Cookies include:

  • Setting unique identifiers for each unique visitor, so that user numbers can be analyzed.
  1. Functional: These cookies are used to remember your preferences, login information and store shopping cart items on our Site and to provide enhanced, more personal features. The information collected by these cookies is usually anonymized, so we cannot identify you personally. Functional cookies do not track your internet usage or gather information which could be used for selling advertising.

Examples of how we may use functional Cookies include:

  • Gathering data about visits to our Site, including numbers of visitors and visits, length of time spent on the Site, or where visitors have come from.
  • Eliminating the need for returning users to re-enter their login details or previously saved information.
  1. Third Party Cookies: You may notice on some pages of our Site that cookies have been set that are not related to us. When you visit a page with content embedded from these third-party service providers, they may set their own cookies on your computer or mobile device. We do not control the use of these third-party cookies and cannot access them due to the way that cookies work, as cookies can only be accessed by the party who originally set them. Please check the third-party websites or mobile applications for more information about these cookies.
  2. Disabling Cookies: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete cookies, some of the functionality of our Site may no longer be available to you.  Without this information, we are not able to provide you with all the requested services, and any differences in services are related to your information.
  • Some browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals to websites. Because of differences in how browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.
  1. Clear GIFs, pixel tags and other technologies: Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer and phone hard drives, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We currently do not use any pixels or clear GIFs on our Services.

Interactive Tools.

Certain features on our Site may give you an opportunity to interact with Dynasty. These may include a live chat feature. When you use these features you should be aware that any information you submit, including your name, location and e-mail address, may be viewable by Dynasty. We are not responsible for any information you choose to submit through these interactive features and we strongly discourage you from disclosing any sensitive Personal Information (such as health or credit card information) through these features. If you use these features, your Personal Information may remain on the Site even after you cease use of the Site.

Third Party Analytics.

We may use automated devices and applications to evaluate usage of our Site. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate our Services. We use these tools to help us improve our Services, performance and user experiences. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services. We do not share your Personal Information with these third parties

Third-Party Links.

When you click on links on our Site, download necessary or recommended software, mobile applications, or wallets, you may be directed you away from our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, virtual servers or mobile applications and encourage you to read their individual privacy policies. If you visit a third-party website or mobile application link from our Site, you do so at your own risk.

How You Can Access Your Information. 

You control the accuracy of your Personal Information. If your Personal Information changes, please correct, update or delete it from your Account. Through your Account page, you may: (i) review and update basic information about yourself, (ii) complete pending orders, and (iii) begin new orders. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified or deleted may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Site for a period of time. 

Although we describe much of the following processes throughout this Privacy Policy, please do not hesitate to email us at support@mylegacy.ai to receive the following information.

Upon a verified request, subject to the privacy interests of others and technical limitations, Dynasty will provide you with information about whether we hold any information related to you.  At Dynasty’s sole discretion, unless otherwise required by law, we may, in some instances, correct or delete information upon a verified request.  Please note, however, that in certain circumstances, we may be required by law to retain your Personal Information or may need to retain your Personal Information in order to continue providing a product or service to you or another customer

Dynasty will give you, or anyone listed as an authorized contact for your Account, information about your order.  This may include information about the nature and status of your order, the information you provided to process your order, payment information, and contact information.  If you want someone to have access to your order, you must list them as an authorized contact, or they may not obtain such information.  You can confirm who is listed as an authorized contact for your Account, add new authorized contacts, or remove authorized contacts by emailing us.  We may send a confirmation email to your authorized contact(s) alerting them that they have been added as an authorized contact.

Children. 

The Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 18. Dynasty does not allow individuals under the age of 18 to create an Account, nor do we knowingly collect or use any Personal Information from such children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, do not submit any information to our Site. If we learn that we collected Personal Information from children under the age of 18, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

California and Virginia Residents.

If you live in California or Virginia, you have certain additional rights regarding your Personal Information.  This includes the right to request:

  • Specific information about what information Dynasty has collected about you,
  • A copy of your Personal Information,
  • Corrections to inaccuracies in the Personal Information Dynasty maintains about you, and
  • The deletion of your Personal Information.

These rights are not absolute, and in some circumstances, Dynasty may decline to satisfy your request.  For example, if we are unable to verify your identity or if your request impacts other people’s privacy rights, we may deny your request to exercise these rights.  We may also deny your request when Dynasty has the legal right to do so, such as when we have an ongoing business relationship with you, an ongoing need to use the information for purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or we are legally required to retain your Personal Information.  If Dynasty denies your request to exercise your privacy rights, we will tell you why we are denying the request and provide you with information about how to appeal this decision.

If you choose to exercise your privacy rights, we will not charge you different prices or provide a different quality of services unless those differences are related to your Personal Information.

How to Submit a Request for Access, Correction, or Deletion of Personal Information.

If you would like to submit a request about your Personal Information, we encourage you to do so by emailing us at support@mylegacy.ai.

After you submit the request, you will be asked to verify your email address and may also be asked to provide additional information to verify your identity.  Dynasty will attempt to verify your identity by asking for information that correlates with the information that we have previously collected about you.  If this is not possible, Dynasty may request you submit additional information for verification, such as proof of residency or redacted government-issued identification.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.  To designate an authorized agent, you must provide Dynasty with written permission for the agent to make the request on your behalf or provide us with an executed power of attorney.  You will also be required to submit both your and the authorized agent’s valid government-issued identification.

Use of Personal Information for Targeted Advertising.

Dynasty does not currently sell Personal Information to third parties or engage in online marketing activities.  If in the future Dynasty does decide to sell Personal Information, any Personal Information collected prior to our update of this Privacy Policy will be excluded from such sale unless you otherwise consent to that additional use of the data.

Changes to Privacy Policy. 

Dynasty reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the Service will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to this Privacy Policy. If there are any changes to our Privacy Policy, we will announce that these changes have been made on our home page and on other key pages on our Services. If there are any changes in how we use our users’ Personal Information, notification by e-mail will be made to those affected by this change. Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted on our Services 30 days prior to these changes taking place. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.

What is a Trust?

A Living Trust is a financial tool that lets you plan, organize, and protect your life. It’s a personal entity that allows you to add assets and plan out your inheritance. Eliminating legal battles, cost, and time spent by your loved ones. 

Think of it like a personal LLC that you put everything you own in. Except it doesn’t protect you from liability like an LLC does, it protects you from probate and conservatorship. 

Probate is the complicated court process (12-18 months) where a judge decides what happens to your assets after you die, become incapacitated, or are “deemed” incapable. Creating a living trust allows your assets to completely circumvent probate and immediately transfer to your loved ones. 

In addition to being able to name heirs (your beneficiaries), a Trust also allows you to assign someone to manage it (your successor trustee). Instead of going through probate, your Successor Trustee takes control of the Trust, handles your affairs, and distributes your assets according to your instructions. The person you select as Successor Trustee should be your most trusted person. Like a best friend or closest family member.

At Dynasty, we believe everyone should have a Living Trust. If you have children, assets, or plan to acquire assets in the future, you should create a Trust. That way when you buy your next home, open a bank or brokerage account, get startup shares, etc. – you can immediately title them in your trust.
